Behind The Door with Delta Roam At Winter Wonderland
It’s the season for bringing people together — families, friends, and communities all finding warmth in shared moments. For Delta Roam, this December’s visit to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park was more than just a festive day out. It was about connection, togetherness, and a reminder of why we do what we do: building a community shaped by people and shared experiences.
With VIP access kindly organised by Priority by O2, our guests were able to skip the queues, step through the Golden Gate, and head straight to our own dedicated Delta Roam space inside the Glowhaus, and here is where our December story continues… a world of excitement, festive magic, and unforgettable family fun.
A Morning at Glowhaus
First stop was at Glowhaus, the cosy chalet tucked within Winter Wonderland. With hot drinks in hand and under the warm light and wooden beams,our guests including stylists, journalists and friends of the brand, were given their Delta Roam gifts. Coats for adults and older children, with beanies and bags for the younger ones - Christmas really had come early!
The room quickly filled with the sound of children comparing outfits, parents chatting over coffee, and our coats already being zipped up in anticipation for what was coming.
Testing Delta Roam in the Coldest Corners
No winter product test compares to the Magical Ice Kingdom - an immersive world carved from 500 tonnes of ice and snow. The temperature dropped instantly as we stepped inside, breath turning into vapour, sculptures towering around us like frozen architecture.
Giant trolls, mythical creatures, glowing ice tunnels, and the 5m-high gryphon became the backdrop to our most important test of the day: How does Delta roam perform in the extreme cold?
The answer was right there in front of us for all to experience for themselves. Warmth held steady. Children ran between sculptures without shivering. Adults moved through the four frozen realms of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire without feeling the chill.
The insulation, waterproofing, and engineered design did exactly what it was built to do: protect, move, and keep the cold out. Even the ice slide (eagerly used by both children and parents) became a mini stress-test for durability. Our guests put their Beaumont and Cirrus coats through its paces.
Not satisfied with putting our garments to just the one test, guests headed to the Priority by O2 Ice Rink for skating under a canopy of festoon lights. Coats flexed, stretched, resisted the wind, and kept skaters warm. A perfect example of Delta Roam functioning exactly as designed: moving effortlessly between activity, temperature shifts, and family fun.
Après-Ski Vibes
After the frozen adventures, we returned to Glowhaus for alpine-style comfort: hot chocolate, mulled wine, cold beer, warming plates of street food, and a chance to gather together again with new friendships being made.
Coats hung over the back of chairs, children recounting brave ice-slide leaps, families swapping stories all brought to life what Delta Roam stands for: outdoor living, shared community and experiences made richer by garments built to support them.
Free to Roam
As the afternoon carried on, guests explored the rest of Winter Wonderland at their own pace: roller coasters, Father Christmas sightings, Christmas market stalls, and the last of the day’s winter light settling over Hyde Park.
It wasn’t just an experience. It was a shared memory.
