Great British Beach Clean 2026 | Delta Roam
A little time on the beach can make a big difference.
At Delta Roam, we believe life is better lived outdoors. From early morning swims and windswept walks to long days by the sea, the British coastline is part of so many of the moments that inspire us to get outside.

But enjoying these places comes with a responsibility to look after them too.
This September, the Marine Conservation Society's Great British Beach Clean 2026 returns, bringing people together across the UK to help clean our coastline and collect valuable information about the litter found there.
MORE THAN A BEACH CLEAN
Taking place from 18–27 September 2026, the Great British Beach Clean will see hundreds of organised beach cleans happening around the country.
And picking up litter is only part of the story.
During Marine Conservation Society beach cleans, volunteers record the items they find along a 100 metre stretch of coastline. This information helps build a picture of where marine litter is coming from and provides evidence that can be used to campaign for wider change.
Over the years, data collected by volunteers has helped support changes including the plastic bag charge, restrictions on microplastics in personal care products and better labelling for wet wipes.
There is still plenty to do. In 2025, 87% of the litter recorded during beach cleans was plastic, with small plastic fragments, single use wrappers and plastic caps and lids among the most commonly found items.
THE CHOICES WE MAKE MATTER TOO

For us, looking after the places we roam isn't only about what we do when we're out there. It also means thinking carefully about the choices we make when creating our products.
Plastic pollution is one of the biggest challenges facing our coastline, which is why reducing our reliance on virgin materials matters.
The materials we choose are part of that. The Beaumont Robe uses recycled polyester, giving existing materials another life while still delivering the warmth and weather protection it was created for.
But materials are only part of the story. We believe outdoor clothing should be made to be used, worn and relied upon for more than one season. Choosing quality, looking after what you own and wearing it for longer all help reduce the need to continually replace what we buy.
There is always more to do, but considered choices can make a difference.

HOW TO JOIN A GREAT BRITISH BEACH CLEAN NEAR YOU
The good news is that making a difference can start with something as simple as spending a few hours on the beach.
The Marine Conservation Society has an interactive map showing Great British Beach Clean events across the UK. Find one near you, sign up and join other volunteers helping to look after our coastline.
If there isn't an organised clean where you are, you can organise your own too. No previous experience is needed, and many events are suitable for families.
WHAT TO TAKE TO A BEACH CLEAN
A few hours on the British coast can bring sunshine, wind and rain, sometimes all in the same afternoon. Being comfortable and keeping your hands free makes getting stuck in that little bit easier.

For lighter, changeable days, The Cirrus Jacket gives you waterproof protection without weighing you down, with pockets to keep essentials close while your hands are busy.
When the forecast calls for something more substantial, The Beaumont Robe brings extra warmth and weather protection, with plenty of pocket space for the things you want to keep close.
And The Roll-Top Backpack takes care of everything else, from your water bottle and an extra layer to whatever you need for a few hours on the beach.

Hands free. Essentials sorted. Ready to make a difference.

LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT
Whether you join an organised beach clean this September, organise one of your own or simply pick up a few pieces of litter on your next coastal walk, small actions add up.
For us, roaming has always been about more than reaching a destination. It's about slowing down, noticing what's around us and appreciating the places we're lucky enough to explore.
The outdoors gives us somewhere to walk, swim, explore, switch off and spend time together. Looking after it means those places are there for the adventures still to come.
Life is better lived outdoors. Let's help keep it that way.
